Our approach
Hero sub title
Faced with degradation from a variety of sources, the health of the UK’s soils has never been a more important cause to rally behind.
In the post-Brexit environment, the UK government has developed new and innovative national farming and environmental policy frameworks - but with political churn comes the ongoing challenge of ensuring that soil’s place in policy is maintained, highlighted, and championed.
Despite the critical role that soil plays in supporting life as we know it, they are overlooked and are often neglected by governments and other stakeholders. This is where we come in. We aim to overcome these obstacles by giving soil the political, public and stakeholder attention it needs, through debate and discussion, campaigning, and the co-ordination of the full community of individuals and organisations interested in sustainable soils.
Through this approach, we hope to drive a step change necessary in the political and public understanding and appreciation of soil in the UK, thus leading to a reversal of land degradation and the restoration of soils to health within one generation.
